Stage 1 - Design
Every Obsidian Boxworks creation begins with your vision. Through a collaborative design process, we take the time to understand the specific relics, trinkets, or artifacts you intend to store, as well as the exact aesthetic you want to achieve. Whether you are inspired by tabletop lore, historical antiquity, or simply need a bespoke home for your most treasured items, we work closely with you to refine the dimensions, features, and overall character of the box before any materials are ever cut. It is a true partnership, ensuring the final piece is imagined by you and inspired by your passions.
Stage 2 - Build
Once the design is finalized, the forging process begins using a careful selection of premium, sustainable materials. The core structure is crafted from real FSC-certified wood, ensuring that the foundation of your stash box is both durable and environmentally responsible. To bring the intricate, bespoke details of your design to life, we integrate polylactic acid (PLA) thermoplastic—an eco-friendly, biodegradable material derived from renewable resources. This harmonious blend of traditional woodworking and modern, conscious manufacturing allows us to build robust, highly customized storage solutions without compromising on our commitment to the environment.
Stage 3 - Finish
The final stage is where your custom box truly develops its unique character and soul. Each piece undergoes a meticulous, bespoke finishing process to ensure the textures and surfaces are perfectly prepped. From there, the box is expertly hand-painted, applying the precise layers of color, weathering, or fine detailing required to match your original vision.
